Use Microsoft’s Windows Click Here Installer Cleanup utility to remove traces of previous installations. This utility does not remove files installed by the installation, which may need to be removed manually. Sometimes you might run into problems installing a program if an earlier version of the program is already installed in the system.

This guide is focused on devices running Windows 10, but Check Disk has been available for a long time, and the steps outlined here should also work on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. Many thousands of hardware devices are available that you can use with Windows, and no one rule that applies to troubleshooting all of them. So you’ll likely have to consider all of your resources. Be sure to check the manual that came with the hardware device first. If that doesn’t work, the device manufacturer’s Web site will likely be your next best bet. Note that not all hardware devices will have a Resources tab.

Uninstall Older Version of Software

We suggest you replace the hard disk with an SSD for much better performance and longevity. Once the repair process is complete, restart Windows 11 and check if disk errors have been resolved or not. Overheating is one such common issue that computer users often face with their hard drives.
Once you sign into your account in Safe Mode, you may be home free. Restart your PC normally and see if that knocked Win10 upside the head. Turn off your AV and firewall, then try installing Win10 again.
